Although Granada’s historic center can only be explored on foot, the city’s public transportation network is very useful and can take you to more distant places if needed, such as the main train station to catch a high-speed train to Málaga or Córdoba, or the Nuevo Los Cármenes football stadium. For this reason, we’ve written a detailed article explaining how to get around Granada using public transportation.
Granada Tram
The Granada tram spans 16 km with a total of 26 stations, featuring both surface and underground segments. It connects Granada with neighboring municipalities such as Albolote, Armilla, and Aracena. While it does not pass through the city’s historic center, the tram has key stops like the central train station and Recogidas station, which is very close to the historic center.
