From dazzling light displays and lively parades to musical performances and family-friendly activities, the city comes alive with holiday cheer. Whether you’re strolling through illuminated streets, skating under the stars, or enjoying the warmth of a traditional zambomba, Córdoba promises an unforgettable Christmas experience. Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of this magical time in the city.

Christmas Lights and Sound Show

Córdoba’s festive season kicks off on December 4th with the much-anticipated illumination of its Christmas lights. This year’s display promises to transform the city into a glowing wonderland, featuring over 1.5 million LED lights. The decorations include 375 sparkling arches, 79 grouped holiday motifs, nine festive signs, and lighting for around 160 trees, creating a truly enchanting atmosphere.

One of the highlights is the dazzling Cruz Conde Street light-and-sound show, designed by Iluminaciones Ximénez. With five daily performances at 7:00 PM, 7:30 PM, 8:00 PM, 8:30 PM, and 9:00 PM, the show captivates audiences with a blend of music and lights. At the top of each hour, sound levels are adjusted to accommodate those with sensory sensitivities. Each performance lasts about ten minutes and features four carefully chosen songs, ensuring a memorable holiday experience for everyone.

Christmas events in Cordoba for the whole family

Ice skating returns with rinks at Vial Norte and Bulevar Gran Capitán from November 24 to January 7, while Chiquilandia offers fun attractions, including a mechanical bull and a family-friendly zone. The Christmas market at Las Tendillas provides games and treats for the little ones.

On December 31, Las Tendillas becomes the center of celebration with a morning New Year’s Eve party for kids featuring activities, candy, and a countdown. At night, the festivities resume with live music from Rockopop, starting at 10 PM and continuing until the early hours.

Celebrating Epiphany and The Grand Three Kings Parade

On January 3, the Real Postman rides through Córdoba, collecting letters from children for the Three Wise Men. The grand Three Kings Parade follows on January 5, featuring elaborate floats, musical bands, and street performances. Local neighborhoods like Santa Rosa and Ciudad Jardín will also host their own parades.
